Learn About Your Cabin Air Filter

Did you know that many vehicles have a cabin air filter? These HEPA filters act the same way that your home air conditioning filters do.

Before the air comes out of your dash, it is passed across this special filter. The filter catches pollen and other particles that contribute to allergies.

It is recommended that you replace your cabin air filter every 15,000 to 22,000 miles. Like your house A/C, if let go, these filters will become restricted and can prevent good air flow from coming through the vents.

Additionally, a restricted filter can cause your blower to prematurely fail or even your A/C evaporator to freeze up. Often times, this is a place of interest for squirrels or other rodents to nest if left undisturbed.

Eagle Buick GMC cares about our guests’ health. Every oil change includes a complimentary inspection of this filter. Stop by anytime for outstanding and personal service, tailored to your specific vehicle needs.
